Messy Breakfast*

Welcome back Messy Breakfast! 9.00am on Sunday 11th October.....

Messy Breakfast was an offshoot of the popular and successful Messy Church - and is taking a summer break, with a "remodelling" in the autumn!moving bin boy

We are taking a well earned break from the food side of things over the summer (wot, no more croissants?!) but each week we will be happy to serve coffee with a smile and provide newspapers in our coffee area from 9.30 onwards - now, how about coming early to help us set up?!

In the Autumn we will be launching a regular Church Family Breakfast which will be open to all (we have found that those without kids or older church members have missed our church breakfasts and hadn't realised they too could come to Messy Breakfast!) Our changes are thus aiming to include everyone in!

What happened at Messy Breakfast?

Children (and their early-rising parents) would arrive to a hall full of the tempting smell of breakfast cooking. Different activities were set up around the hall, and sometimes Angie began with a silly game or two to wake us up! Following a given theme we would try to solve a challenge or create something.  The long-awaited breakfast always came next - recent treats have included bacon, hash browns, eggs, toast, marmalade/jam, muffins and tea/coffee/juice. Whilst enjoying breakfast there was also the chance to ask any tricky God-questions to any of the church volunteers.

There was also the option of staying on for the All Age Service at SCMC - those who have stayed on have really enjoyed it so do still give our third Sunday All Age worship a go! Numbers attending have increased, and you would be warmly welcome.

 * Please note that our leaders and all our childrens workers and helpers are accredited as safe to work with children & young people through our highly regarded Methodist Church Safeguarding procedure, which is itself part of the UK government's National Safeguarding scheme. A copy of this policy is available from our minister Rev Kath Jones or our shared youthworker Angie Choat.
